It can happen to anyone. We have the idea of starting an ambitious new blog, but our plates get fuller and fuller until we have almost no time left for our poor blog. A blog like this eventually gets hardly any visitors.
We may not even realize how negligent we've been until we look at our pathetic traffic statistics for that blog. And we realize it's because we haven't written a new post in at least three months. Your blog is not gone for good, though, unless you want it to be. There are lots of ways to bring a dying blog back to life.
Always keep reading. The ability to come up with unique posts everyday, especially if you have a niche blog, can be difficult at best. If you do a lot of reading, you can combat this problem right away. Keep up with the news in your niche. Books on your particular niche are sure to exist. When you write more, you simply cannot help but become more proficient at writing. This is totally true! Ask a professional writer - they will tell you the same thing. Read as much as possible. Reading helps you learn the mechanics of writing and gives you styles to emulate - as well as lots of content ideas. Choose other topics to write about. Write an e-book for yourself. Write a novel. You should also write an off-line diary. The goal is to write more each and every week. The more you write, or at least the more ideas that you get, post them on your blog when they come to you. Run with the ideas that come in your head. Just getting up and doing something else, especially if it is frustrating, can make all the difference in the world when it comes to posting on your blog. If you write, and it comes out in a marketable form, place the e-book on your website and sell it. This will help you earn money while writing.
Don't be afraid to ask your readers for help. After you've had your blog for a while, it can be a challenge to keep thinking of great topics to write about. No matter how experienced you may be, this can still occur. This is the time to consult with your readers and ask them for assistance. Encourage them to send in their comments, suggestions, questions and so forth. There are a couple of benefits to doing this -first of all, you'll probably get good suggestions; secondly, your readers will get into the habit of interacting with your blog. The more your readers participate in your blog, the better for everybody. It's symbiotic, so let the other side help you sometimes and they'll love you all the more for it.
Even the most conscientious bloggers end up having blogs that they lose touch with and that end up losing momentum. As we've seen, there are ways to make your blog active and healthy once more.
Use these tips to help you breathe some fresh life back into your post pages and get the ball rolling again. There's no reason to let all of your previous efforts go to waste. If there is anything at all that makes you feel overwhelmed with your online business, then that just means you have to learn a bit more and get more comfortable. This is just a trial phase as you get more familiar with rapid fire commissions, and those who survive have a good chance of going all the way.
The primary reason for using freelance help is to allow for more time on activities that directly impact revenue. Take a look at all you do, and you just may find a way to create hybrid approaches that will give you even more leverage. But we would caution you to learn about it, first, and even gain some experience with implementing it. Not just in the case of bringing on contracted-out help, but with anything you have to get it done but also done smartly.
