Revitalizing Under-Performing Landing Pages The Old-Fashioned Way

Lots of online marketers still use the trusty landing page so they can grow their marketing lists. Do check out what we have for you today because it will shed some light on getting greater results from landing pages.

As with so many things in life, people tend to over-complicate matter which is something you need to avoid with any landing page. It has been long established that when there is too much going on it interferes with understanding what you want and what they will get. If you are making a squeeze page for options, then keep it very uncomplicated without trying to get fancy with design.

Anything that serves to offer confusion or does not offer exact meaning in terms of benefits to the reader is not really needed. If you want some inspiration and ideas, then take a look at other landing pages. So in a very real sense landing pages are extremely easy to put together, and the most important part, as always, is the copy. Do not say much at all about how great you are on your landing page. Your target market is who you want to be reading your landing page copy, so talk to them and make it be about them. Consumers are single-minded in that they are only concerned about what you have to give to them, today. So that is your assignment with your copy or your video if you choose to use video. One of the reasons why landing pages become unsuccessful is because of lack of clarity. This also goes back to your primary interest which is always the reader. When every reader can easily follow your copy and understand well, then that will help immensely.

Some things just depend on the market, and yours may respond well to the placing of your own image/photo on your landing page. The very best thing to do in this instance is set-up a simple A/B split test and see which page gets the most conversions. We know some of you may have employees or "the team" thing going, so a group pic could be something different to add. In the end the success of your page will depend more on the quality of your traffic and the perceived benefits. Always make sure of the quality of your traffic, and then you will be set to make serious progress with testing and optimizing your landing pages.
