Page Rank: Is It Significant To An Article Directory?

There is no argument about the value of the Page Rank. It indicates the content volume of a site, and it also proves the site's popularity, or how many external links it has pointing to it.

We all strive for the highest Page Rank we can muster for good reason. The higher your ranking is, the more visitors you get and the brighter your sale opportunities would be.

That explains the reason behind the submission of articles. Articles are a major component of high volume content, and articles with a bio box are instrumental in the establishment of external links that leads to the website.

The point is to be in the spotlight and get noticed. High visibility will translate into more business.

Quite simple, really.

But then the plot thickens.

Site Popularity doesn't come from having your links just anywhere. You see, there's a method to the madness that brings it all full circle.

You have to put your articles in better performing sites than yours if you are to get the desired result of earning a higher ranking via external links.

This begs the question of whether or not the same can be said of Article Directories.

It depends on what your process is and how much time you have, meaning that if you are pressed for time, then the page rank would matter.

You have only so much time to get your articles into sites that will bring you the quickest exposure you can get.

But then you have to take into consideration that with the rapid fire article submission software, services and scripts makes for a fluid situation in the daily ranking guide as reflected in the Page Rank for Article Directories.

Some Article Directories of late have appeared out of nowhere one week, and the next have well over 1,000 articles already submitted to them. So it is a safe bet that it will hit the 5 to 10 thousand mark after a month.

It is not then a farfetched possibility that an inconsequential Article Directory in the last preceding list can shoot up to the top four or five in the rankings when Google releases the next Page Rank in its quarterly Page Rank.

So, thinking logically, the only time an Article Directory's Page Rank should concern you is the day after Google makes its adjustments.

That would be true only if there is an immediate need to establish links to your site and to be able to manually submit to the websites at the top of the page ranks.

It really is a qualified yes or no.

The current page rank of Article Directories is important only IF you submit your articles manually.

But for the rest of us, what should matter most is that, when you submit to every possible site you can, you're helping to establish more Article Directories with a higher Page Rank than ever before!

This is one of those instances where everybody benefits.
