Replacing Page Rank With Page Strength Discussed In Brief

Many so called SEO experts firmly believe that there is no longer any importance in that little bar known as the Google Page Rank. This is mainly due to the controversial but necessary purge on paid links. Many a high quality and for what a lot of people are important websites have now been given a penalty in respect of their websites page ranks. As an example the website at seroundtable is only classed as a page rank four when in reality it should be at least a page rank six. This leads to a whole new debate; should the Google page rank toolbar be replaced by another tool such as the Google page strength toolbar?

So what would this page strength rank represent? Well to answer this question we need to start by looking at what is wrong the current page rank toolbar. Well many people think that the first is the true page rank and this is the one that we do not see. The second and the one that we do see is the one that is placed on the toolbar. So why have the 2 ratings? Well I suppose Google are attempting or hoping that people will not continue to purchase text links on a site if the page rank they see on the toolbar is lowered. Alternatively they may well be hoping that a site like seroundtable then decides to no-follow the links to regain its true page rank. Is this working? Well by taking a look at seroundtable it would suggest not, the site still has a large number of advertisers who seem to be gaining "link juice" from the site.

My idea for page strength would be to have one true value shown on the toolbar but it would be displayed in one of two colours. Again with seroundtable it would show a PR6 in a red colour. This red colour shows danger, it shows the public that the site does pass on "link juice" which would indicate that it has been penalised. A site which does pass "link juice" could be shown with a green colour but if it were to start selling backward links would then be at risk from turning red.

For this to work Google would have to stop passing the link juice from a site where it expects or knows is selling links. Will it ever happen? I guess only time will tell.

Probably The Best Way To Obtain One-Way Backlinks For Free

So you have just realised the importance of one way back links and you are now eager to obtain some of these to aid the web promotion of your site. But how do you obtain these one-way links? Will it cost a lot of money or can you get them for free? Is it hard work or is it a fairly simple task? This and more will be discussed within this article.

I remember asking the above questions all the way back in the year two thousand. Yes one-way backlinks were all the rage back then as well and they have been ever since. Article submission services were not that popular back then but I will never forget a good friend of mine, a professional SEO consultant saying to me:

"Have you ever thought about writing about the products and services that you offer? There are "article directories" that will publish your written articles for free and they allow you to include a one way link back to your website at the bottom of the article. This is a great way to become known within your industry, as an authority if you like, and what's more you gain those all important one-way links without using a one-way link building service."

"That is a top quality idea. Do you mean the one-way links from the article directories?"

"Yes but also from other webmasters who are free to use your articles on their websites so long as they keep the link to your website "live"."

I was loving this; I could write articles about my product and then submit them to the article directories and this would not only enable me to obtain free one-way backward links but would also enable me to become known within my industry - perfect!

I now try to write at least one article each day and I have been able to achieve these daily goals for the last six months.
