Authority Sites or Mini Sites- Which Way Should You Go?



Individual online marketers often do not fully understand the implications to their marketing when considering authority sites and mini sites. Usually it is the newer people to online business who sometimes wonder which is best to build. Actually, there are a number of things to think about as well as to consider, as it concerns search engine algorithms and personality (Google).

What would it take to drive traffic to each of these sites? Each of the ten mini sites will need you to drive traffic to them individually. Your authority site will also require traffic driving efforts on your part. However, even though you are targeting different pages within the same site, it is still within one website. This allows you to actually leverage your time. You'll find that larger sites have a unique value known as the stickiness value. It's hard to make mini sites sticky because the content on them is so limited.

Authority sites also allow you to begin ranking for different keyword phrases than the ones you intended. In time, and with backlinking, you will discover that you are ranking well for words that are basically synonyms for your regular keyword phrases. You can then exploit those new key-phrases to improve your rankings even further. Analyze the stats for those synonyms, but also try to determine whether you can expand on them to create other keyword phrases to help your rankings. Many established authority sites see this happening to their rankings. Of course, it does take some time for this to happen, so be patient.

Mini site and authority sites, then, each have their advantages and disadvantages. It can be tempting to make all your internet marketing decisions based on Google's preferences. Of course we also understand that line of thinking, but we would suggest that you diversify your marketing and avoid living your business life according to Google's terms. Ultimately, the kind of sites you build will depend on your own preferences and objectives. Business on the net involves making many choices depending on your particular model, marketing and advertising methods such as using Tristan Bull or related approaches. Maybe one of the smartest approaches is to simply accept what is with online business and continue to move forward.
