Improving Your Video Optimization With Video Site Maps

Video Ranking

When you are doing SEO campaign for video, you want to have a look at video site maps. This is an area that were just starting to test but we need to do more testing. Using Google Webmaster Tools, you can submit a site map which we do for clients anyway. Now you can also insert video site maps.

The reason why you need to use that submission tool, Google Web master Tools, and do a video site map, is so that your videos begin to appear under the Google search area. When you are not on YouTube but you go to videos search, you know when you are on Google and you can click video. You are not on YouTube but you're still doing a video search inside Google.

By doing video site maps your videos, rather than getting your YouTube videos to appear in those results page, you can start to get your own website appearing in the results page. That is good, because the aim of the game of the video is to get them back to your website. So its even better if we can get them straight to our website.

That's level one SEO techniques. You do that if you are going up against some competition. For level 2 SEO, basically you need to have a spreadsheet that logs all the videos that you have. You wish to have a look at the videos that have big number of perspectives but are not in position number one. Then what you need to begin to do is target your link building to those videos.

So what you're looking for are videos that are already getting perspectives and they're already doing ok, but they're not in position number one yet. So you're going to try and send more link like to those videos to get them to move up toward high search engine ranking and then potentially take more of the pie. I just employ a spreadsheet, there's not that much in that spreadsheet because all that it is is a list of all the YouTube videos that we do. So target videos that have large number of perspectives though not in position number one.

Using play lists as well is crucial. When I create video content, I love to cut it up into masses of tiny pieces because every piece that I cut up and I post is another ticket in the search website lottery.

An alternate way to form new tickets as well as video site maps is to utilise play lists. In the admin, just search how to line up play lists, search it on YouTube and there are tutorials out there which will step you through it. All you do is you get to group a whole lot of videos together and say all of these videos are to do with Melbourne SEO Services review testimonials, for example. You could group them under one play list and you might target a new keyword to go after. Then your play lists start to appear in the YouTube search results.
