The All-Important Issue of Becoming Worthy of Trust on Your Blog

There is almost nothing stopping anybody from having their own blog if you have an internet connection and can read. But going beyond that and engaging in business is where everything gets different and more challenging. How easy or difficult that is for you is hard to tell, but if you apply the following trust-building tips, then you could have a decent shot at it.

Usually it is the beginners to blogs who have unrealistic expectations about traffic. However, if you're not taking any steps to engage your readers then you're definitely going to have problems getting them to trust your blog. If there are no feelings one way or the other, then they will look around and leave. It is fine to tell people to do something or ask questions that provoke them a little bit. Another great thing to do is create a post with questions, and you can put boxes to check off or even forms to complete with answers they write.

It is the physical act of moving their hands and focusing on the task that is what produces the effect.

The ideal is for people to remember who you are or your blog, and there are a few things that can help that along. How can you achieve that? By building a targeted email list of your own; start grabbing the email addresses of your readers and add them to your autoresponder so that you can follow up with them. People who have agreed to receive emails from you already have some degree of trust in you, usually. Once on your list, do everything you can to give them excellent value without a ton of promotions, and that gives you the best chance to establish a good connection with them. You will need to become a responsible email marketer in order to make your blog successful once you have a list going.

Do not be afraid of letting people know what you look like, and so we are talking about including a pic of you on the About page. There is no hard requirement, of course, but this is all something designed to help you with trust. In time, that can be a huge factor with creating trust, and that makes sense because it is hard to trust someone when you have no clue what they look like. It adds more credibility to your blog and makes it more believable because your readers can actually 'see' you, which may make them want to get to know you better through your blog.

What we discussed in the above article is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to getting more people to trust your blog. We also recommend you study site usability because that is highly related to credibility and trust.
