All business owners utilizing setup activate profit are faced each day with a host of decisions from the unimportant to the very important. So many speed bumps are encountered just as soon as a person decides to thrown their hat in the ring.

If there is no clue at all as to how to get started in the first place, then welcome to the club and learn to deal with it for a while at least. We understand the feeling of wanting to know it all, but the really good news is you do not have to know it all, right away or even ever. One other critical area is the fear of making mistakes in the beginning, and we will tell you that mistakes are a natural part of doing business. All you need to do aside from pay attention and learn is make it far enough so you become more capable. We tend to think you cannot have enough diversity in your marketing affairs, just as long as they are solid and grounded in common sense.

It's a brave new frontier and we all have Google to thank for it. You can boil the whole thing down into words like updating and quality. What is telling is these goals and requirements have been in place all along. In addition to link diversity, marketing deserves a fair amount of diversity as well. We've all heard that websites are but a Google algorithm update away from complete and total meltdown. That is if you engage in search marketing and have all your eggs in one basket. Diversity is incredibly important and that includes making sure that your content includes it too. It is important to have a variety of content formats on your site so that people will want to share. The information you are about to read is valuable research that you should implement right away. When it comes to searches on the Internet, almost 50% of them are four words in length or more. You

need to add variety, never using less than three words with any webpage or post that you make. Over 60% of all search queries are not actually exact match which is very interesting. That is pretty surprising unless you have done PPC in the past in which case you would have seen it. It's a safe assumption that the use of exact match is not always the best choice. If you are not afraid of using long tail keywords, they can actually be profitable for you.

You don't have to worry about Google devaluing your backlink's anchor texts unless you've tried to do too much with them. Anchor text is still vitally important to your off-page optimization.

Right now Penguin is still relatively new (at the time of this article's writing anyway) but that hasn't stopped people from reacting instinctively to it. The thing that you need to do is keep your wits about you and make sure that you have the most important facts. You actually have far more options with your anchor text than you realize. For proof, spend some time looking at your raw server logs; you'll see that the vast majority of the keywords people are using aren't those "high value" keywords you originally thought were so important.

It's important to apply the idea of triage to your website so that you can make sure you apply all of the changes that are required since the Penguin update. What that means is you address the most severe and damaging issues, first. You also need to look quite closely at everything that your processes are dependent upon. You want to also be sure that you take care of foundational concerns first. The reason for that is they tend to affect everything on up the chain.
